first, the button behind fell off. i went clubbing for the first time and my feet got stepped all over, so the button on the front came off. then its skin was peeling off. it looked really worn out. time to get a new pair!
few months back, i went a little crazy and booked a trip to hk on the spur of the moment and felt the adrenalin rush to do marathons next yr, remember? i thought i would have given up the marathon part. thankfully, it helps that my friends are supportive of the idea as well. seems to be the 'IN' activity for the young working adults. but no, i'm not participating in a marathon this yr. just a fun run for beginners. ran 1km in 8mins last thurs and was damn tired. good thing frances ran with me, or i would have just stopped at 500m. in order to motivate myself, i got a new pair of running shoes. last time i had one was in jc. it's really been a long time since i ran.

romantic love, finding your soulmate is just so blah. overrated. by commercialism & consumerism. note how many advertisements are on advice to score that date with that hot chick. mentos. starhub. calvin klein. just to name a few.
the world's view is that if you don't get attached or start dating by a certain age, you're some kind of weirdo, or maybe you have some issues. yes, i have. my issue is 'Why is it THAT way?' Why can't it be 'You're with someone else because you're a sticker. You neeeed someone.'
Because sales would drop. Promoting individualism would mean less excuses to buy stuff for someone else. No more valentine's hoo-haa. No more 1st month anniversary, 1st year anniversary and the countless rubbish anniversarys of every damn thing.
i wonder how many couples out there are together because of societal pressure. the illusion that they like someone else - they don't realise that perhaps they don't. cos when someone else just comes along, they fall in love with another person so easily. love grows where there's familiarity? perhaps if u hang out with your enemy long enough, u might just fall in love with your enemy. afterall, love is the extreme feeling of hate or vice versa sometimes.
how about being together with someone else because it's the right time? scenario: you're in your 30s and ding dong bells ring everywhere. so u think to urself, (and u've thought to yourself before) that you wanna get married around this age, so u propose to whoever you're currently dating. pause-rewind. your past relationships (if u have) ended in a few yrs (some even less than a yr). you haven't dated the current one for even 2yrs. how would u know u'll be able to spend a lifetime with that person?
you just know it. (yea, right.)
i think love nowadays is so fragile. it's so easily weakend by distance and time even though we have the most advanced technology of being able to keep in touch via skype or webcam. Gone are the days where love transcends all boundaries of time and space. 梁山伯与祝英台？It only happens in fairytales.

the secret road to the secret hideout....
will probably not be a secret any longer. it's harder to keep secrets now with the internet around. but thankfully, if you head there at the secret timings, the place looks quite secretive still... just the sky, trees and the surrounding lands and occasional birds that take off into the skies...so tranquil... yesterday, after i nearly pulled my hair out and annoying teng with my moans, she relented and we went on our secret adventure. to which i took half an hour to get there, not because i didn't want her to recognise the place but because i took a wrong turn. just that few hours of imagining we weren't in singapore was fun... our secret escapade. woot!
